HOUSTON, TX, May 20, 2024 –

Visit "A Conversation with George"

A Bronze Art Piece housed at Tom Bass Park

Ordinary people are often asked to do extraordinary things.

As we approach this fourth anniversary of the death of George Floyd, the significance of this fateful event calls for reflection and a mandate for action. George Floyd "the movement" continues to be relevant today. Social justice reform remains a topic of everyday conversation. Art has a way of uniting people on many diverse levels creating elevated thinking. We invite you to visit “A Conversation with George”, a sculpture in Tom Bass Park donated to Precinct One and watch "The Making of George in Bronze", an award-winning documentary.

Visit www.KDITC.org to view this documentary from May 22nd-May 25th, 2024. This short documentary illustrates the making of this Bronze work, juxtaposing personal interviews with family, friends, and community leaders. We are also introducing the sculptress, Adrienne Rison-Isom in an intimate way, along with her journey of sculpting a masterpiece for social justice. This sculpture donated by KDITC is a testament to the continued conversation of a fateful event that changed the world. #929
